The Ridewave Miniwave Folding Ebike is a compact fat tyre electric bike designed for riders who want easier storage, practical range, and a steady everyday ride feel. Folding and storage
The Miniwave folds down to 98 cm x 52 cm x 73 cm, making it easier to store at home, at work, in a garage, in a larger car boot, or as part of a caravan travel setup.
Ride feel and tyres
The 20" x 3.0" fat tyres help the Miniwave feel more planted on everyday mixed surfaces, including streets, shared paths, gravel, grass, and uneven ground. The step-through folding frame, adjustable seat, and adjustable handlebars help riders find a more comfortable riding position.
Battery and range
The Miniwave is available with two removable 48V battery options. The 10.4Ah battery offers up to 110 km of pedal-assist range, while the 13.2Ah battery offers up to 140 km. These range figures are based on pedal assist level 1 on flat road conditions.
Actual range can vary depending on rider weight, load, terrain, tyre pressure, wind, temperature, riding style, and assist level. The removable battery design also makes charging more flexible, especially if the bike is stored away from a power point.
Motor, assist and compliance
The Miniwave uses a 250W rear hub brushless motor with 65Nm of torque for smooth everyday assistance. Assisted speed is limited to 25 km/h, and the start-up throttle supports low-speed assistance up to 6 km/h. Above 6 km/h, motor assistance is pedal assist only.
The Miniwave is EN15194 certified and NSW certified. Riders should follow local road rules, wear an approved helmet, and use the bike in accordance with applicable state and territory requirements.
Practical carrying and accessories
The Miniwave includes a rear rack with a 68 kg load rating, giving riders a practical base for compatible Ridewave accessories. Optional compatible accessories may include rear baskets, pannier bags, pet carriers, saddle and footrest accessories, and other Miniwave-specific add-ons where fitment is confirmed.

Assembly

Ridewave ships eligible e-bikes, e-trikes, accessories, and parts Australia-wide from Vermont VIC 3133. Free AU shipping applies to eligible orders over $100, while eligible orders under $100 usually have a flat $10 shipping fee, subject to remote-area, island, and freight-review exclusions.
- In-stock orders are usually processed Monday to Friday, with tracking sent after fulfilment.
- E-bikes and e-trikes are bulky freight items, so delivery timing can vary by postcode, suburb, product size, carrier capacity, and remote-area handling.

- Eligible warranty claims may involve replacement parts, repair support, or another appropriate solution after assessment.
- Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, tyre punctures, misuse, water damage, unauthorised modifications, improper assembly, lack of maintenance, crash damage, or third-party repairs completed without written approval.
- Please keep your proof of purchase and submit photos or videos when making a warranty claim, as Ridewave reviews evidence before approving warranty outcomes.

Eligible change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days of purchase in line with Ridewave's return policy. Returned items must be unopened, unused, unassembled, undamaged, in original packaging, and approved by Ridewave before being sent back.

The Minwave is my 4th folding Ebike and for me the best. The build is strong and the ride is smooth with the power to meet my needs. The weight is fine for me when lifting it into my small SUV. My last bike was much lighter but the ride was wobbly and I did not feel safe on main roads, not so with the setup of the miniwave. I have swapped out the seat for my particular needs but otherwise I have no issues. Battery life is good. I really just like the build quality and great riding experiance.

It's been nearly 2 months since we've purchased this beautifully well made ebike, it's has been very pleasant to ride, smooth and easy, I ride mostly with my son at the back, to school, sport training and leisure with no problem! (my son is 7yo - 28kg, I'm 165cm. 58kg).
We booked a test ride and bought this at the showroom at the same day, with a very helpful information from experience friendly staff (Ethan) as you will never disappointed.
We are considering to add a front basket near future.
Note - I've added extra accessories from the original Ridewave store, Rear Rack Saddle + Footrests, (rear view mirrors on both left & right side, the armrest, handle bar, backrest, they are from third party merchant) for extra safety for my son. it's just for personal purpose,

Love the throttle thumb switch, it’s not the twisting on the handle style that can be uncomfortable on the wrist. Very easy to assemble just exactly How the video has shown. Had it for about a month now, I have nothing to complain about :D!

As a petite rider with a previous injury, finding the right e-bike was a challenge. I needed something foldable for my limited storage, yet powerful enough to carry my 9kg dog on camping trips. After a weekend of heavy use, here is my honest feedback.
Performance & Real-world Range:
I recently completed a 36km ride carrying myself, my dog, and all our gear—a total payload of approximately 75kg.
• Outbound: I mostly used Level 1 assist on flatter terrain.
• Return: The route had several slight inclines, so I bumped it up to Levels 2 and 3.
By the end of the 36km trip, the battery had only dropped two bars. For a bike with fat tires carrying this much weight, I am incredibly satisfied with the battery efficiency and range.
Built Like a Tank:
This bike feels exceptionally solid and robust. When I took it to a local bike shop for a suspension upgrade, the mechanics and other customers were all praising the build quality. It feels safe and stable, which is non-negotiable for regional exploration.
Custom Comfort & Service:
The motor delivery is smooth and predictable—no "jerking," which helps manage my old injury. The customer service was outstanding; they sourced a specific sweep-back handlebar from the factory to fix my wrist positioning. Paired with a suspension seat post I added, the ride is now 10/10 for comfort.
The Challenges (Weight & Rack):
• Weight: It is a heavy bike for me. (But still lighter compare to other same level’s ebike) I cannot lift it alone, but the folding feature is a necessity for my small storage space.
• Rear Rack: This is the only real downside. The geometry is quite unique and "difficult." Standard systems like MIK simply do not fit, so be prepared to get creative if you want to mount a dog basket.

Great little bike. Easy to fold and store the power assist is fantastic with 5 settings it makes mountains into flat roads. For a small bike it handles incredibly well and lasts really well even in high power settings. For me 20psi is the best trye pressure.

We have just purchased our second Miniwave folding ebike from Ethan at Ridewave. We were so impressed with the first bike and the friendly service that we decided having 2 bikes for travelling in the caravan would be good exercise and fun for both of us. Ordered 1 day - delivered the next - exceptional delivery. Unfortunately the second bike had a loose pedal so after contacting Ethan a replacement pedal arrived within 2 days - grest backup service. Everything about the miniwave I found was intuitive and user-friendly, even if you’ve never ridden an e-bike before. The controls are simple, the display is clear, and adjusting the settings feels effortless.
It's a very smooth and comfortable the ride. As a beginner on ebikes and quite out of condition, I found this a wonderful way to get back into exercise. The pedal assist is nice and responsive without being overwhelming and longer distances feel completely manageable.
Having 2 people to unpack and set it up would be good, however it is manageable by yourself.
It’s honestly a fantastic option for riders of any experience level. Reliable, comfortable, and just really enjoyable to ride—I’d highly recommend it to anyone considering an e-bike!

I’ve been riding my new e-bike for a few weeks now and it has completely changed my daily commute. The ride is smooth, quiet, and surprisingly powerful when going up hills. What I love most is how natural the pedal assist feels—it still feels like cycling, just with the perfect boost when you need it.

This is such a surprise package of an e-bike. I'm using it instead of driving our second car, in a mix of street, cycle path and train travel. There's plenty of power and perfect gearing for quick acceleration to join other traffic and to climb ramps and hills. So far I have ranged by Miniwave and train links from Parramatta and adjacent suburbs to Hornsby and Sydney CBD (26km) with ease. It is such an enjoyable, economical (no petrol, tolls or fines!) and trouble free way to get around greater Sydney! Plus, everyone seems to love the bike and the colour!
The compact dimensions make the the Miniwave an easy fit when catching the train, folding into the boot of our Tesla Model 3, riding a lift, or sitting at the local Cafe. Manoeuvring on cycle paths and in crowded pedestrian areas is a breeze. For night travel, the lights are excellent. With the usual cycling wet-weather gear, e-biking in light and moderate rain has been very comfortable too.
The luggage racks are light, capacious and sturdy. A caution here is that the front rack is fixed to the bike frame, limiting bike folding, and restricting manoeuvrability in confined spaces, so we are removing it for general use.
Overall, I am extremely happy with the Miniwave, and with the opportunities it opens up for enjoying Sydney by e-bike.

What is the weight without battery?

Our Miniwave folding eBike is ~27.5kgs with the battery in, and 23kgs with the battery removed from the frame.
