Warranted Products

Before your first ride, please review your specific product's manual. It contains crucial safety information along with assembly, use, and maintenance details. Ridewave Bikes also strongly recommends you to register your Ridewave e-bike upon purchase here. To activate this warranty, registration is necessary. This ensures that Ridewave Bikes can assist you more effectively in addressing and resolving any issues that may arise.

  • Bike Frame: 2 Years
  • Battery: Our battery includes a 1-year limited warranty, beginning on the warranty start date or upon reaching 300 recharge cycles (approximately 10,000 kilometers of riding), whichever occurs first. With proper maintenance and charging, the battery can retain up to 75% of its original capacity during this period.
  • Motor: Covered by a 1-year limited warranty, providing assurance for your ebike's motor. This includes coverage for defects in materials and workmanship but excludes issues caused by improper use, water damage, or unauthorized modifications.
  • Electrical and Component: A 1-year limited warranty begins from the date of purchase and covers various components including pedals, freewheels, cranksets, cassettes, derailleurs, shifters, saddles, forks, stems, handlebars, headsets, seat posts, brakes, lights, bottom brackets, rims, wheel hubs, and reflectors.
  • Ridewave Branded Optional Accessories: These accessories also carry a 1-year limited warranty from the warranty start date.

Limited Warranty Labor

Labor will be provided for any warranted Ridewave Bikes products listed above, pending prior approval from Ridewave Bikes before the service is carried out.

Coverage

Coverage Details

The warranty includes coverage for part replacements and the shipping of defective parts from the customer, as well as the return of either the repaired or replacement part. For straightforward repairs, such as display or cable replacements, customers are expected to manage the repair themselves. For more complicated issues that need professional assistance, we will try our best to arrange the repair at a local bike shop and cover the associated labor and parts costs. Please be aware that this warranty does not extend to any extra labor, shipping fees, or other charges unless required by consumer law.

Warranty Extension

If an extended warranty is available for our ebikes, you can pay the necessary fees to extend your coverage under the same terms and conditions. You can purchase the extended warranty on the day you buy your ebike or within two months afterward, either in-store, online at Ridewave Bikes, or through our customer support.

Applicability

Our warranty terms and conditions apply solely to the original purchaser of our products, whether purchased directly, through dealers, or via third parties. Please note that warranties are non-transferable.

What We Cover
  • Manufacturer's faults, defects, and/or failures
  • To initiate a warranty claim, you must be the original purchaser of the product and provide valid proof of purchase.
What We Don't Cover

Claims, damages, or failures resulting from the following are not covered under our warranty:

Misuse and Abuse

  • Impacts, collisions, freestyle activities, and commercial use beyond the intended design.
  • Damage resulting from neglect or abuse.

Environmental Damage

  • Damage from water, natural disasters, fires, storms, or floods, including exposure to elements causing blemishes, rust, or similar damage.
  • Damage to paint finishes and decals from competitions, jumping, downhill riding, or severe conditions.

Maintenance and Installation Issues

  • Failure to maintain regular servicing as outlined in your manual.
  • Improper maintenance, assembly, or installation, including incorrect fitting or modifications with non-original parts not supplied by Ridewave Bikes.
  • Adjustments needed post-assembly due to potential part movements during shipment, which are the owner's responsibility. Fees for third-party adjustments are not covered.

Freight or Transport

Please note that damage incurred during shipping is not covered by the warranty. However, you can file a claim with the shipping company, and we’re here to assist you in resolving any issues with damaged goods upon arrival. For added peace of mind, we recommend selecting shipping insurance for an additional $100 AUD at checkout. This option significantly reduces potential risks and ensures a smoother experience.

Unauthorized Services

  • Repairs or services performed by unauthorized individuals or companies without approval from Ridewave Bikes, including damage from such services or non-approved parts.

Battery and Component Issues

  • Damage from power surges, incorrect chargers, misuse, normal wear, or water damage.
  • Rust or corrosion and wear on items such as tires, tubes, bearings, brake pads, discs, seats, perishables, or fluids.

Packaging

  • Any required packaging for returning items for repair.

Promotional Products

  • Items obtained as rewards in special competitions or giveaways.

Additional Notes

  • This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damages from improper assembly, or faults due to insufficient maintenance or accidents.
  • Tyre punctures are excluded from warranty coverage.
  • If the product is determined to be free of defects related to materials or workmanship, the seller may request reimbursement from the customer for any costs incurred.
  • The company is not responsible for consequential, special, or cause-and-effect damages.
  • Your electric bike and its components are water-resistant under normal damp conditions; they should not be submerged or washed with a hose. Liquid penetration failure is not covered.
  • In rare cases, scratches may occur due to part movements during shipment. We will provide touch-up paint for minor scratches, but replacement requests solely for scratches cannot be accepted.

At Ridewave Bikes, we aim to make your purchasing experience enjoyable, prioritizing exceptional customer service. While we strive for reliability in our bikes, occasional issues may arise. If you encounter a malfunction, our service team will assist you, which may take some time. Most of our e-bikes are crafted with premium quality components, leading to a fault rate significantly lower than the industry average. This commitment ensures a seamless and trouble-free experience for the majority of our customers. If a fault occurs, we will act quickly to resolve it and appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Elibigility Criteria
  • You must be the original buyer with the proof of purchase.
  • Complete the bike registration with Ridewave Bikes.
  • Submit your claim within the valid warranty period from the date of receipt.
What should I do if I encounter an issue with my Ridewave Bike?

If you purchased your bike from a local shop or a third-party retailer, please contact them first for assistance. If you bought your bike from our online or physical store directly and believe there may be a warranty issue, please avoid taking it to a third-party shop for repairs or seeking reimbursement without first contacting us.

You must inform us of the issue, provide a detailed description, and include a quote from the shop if needed. You may proceed with the repair only after we provide written confirmation. If you do not obtain our confirmation beforehand, we may decline or only partially reimburse your expenses, and we retain full discretion over this decision without any obligation.

Ridewave bikes will not replace any warranted product(s) under this limited warranty without first reviewing photos or videos of the damaged product(s), which helps us process claims more efficiently.

Assessment and Resolution

The technical team of the seller is tasked with assessing the claim and determining if the issue falls under warranty coverage. Both parties are expected to accept the decision reached by our technical team. If the cause of the problem cannot be clearly established, we will take care of the replacement or repair costs for the customer.

Should standard troubleshooting methods not resolve the issue (for instance, if the bike fails to power on), we may need you to return specific components of your bike or, in exceptional situations, the entire bike. Alternatively, we might provide replacement parts, such as the battery, motor, LCD, or controller, for you to install and test. Before dispatching any replacement parts, we require the return of the defective component.

Claim Process

To claim a replacement for a Warranted Product(s) under this Limited Warranty, please follow these steps:

  • Reach out to our team for assistance in diagnosing the issue. They will help troubleshoot your ebike and recommend simple solutions. If the problem continues, please submit a service request using the button above.
  • If a manufacturer's defect is found and our Customer Service team decides a replacement is needed, we will send out a replacement part and coordinate the return of the faulty product(s).
  • If the issue requires a technician for further diagnosis, repair, or installation, we will connect you with one of our local dealers or a technician for extra support.
  • In rare situations, we will handle the return of the product to us at no cost to you.

Note: Products requiring return for repairs must be securely packed for shipment. It's the buyer's responsibility to ensure proper packaging for this return. Ridewave Bikes does not cover any damages that occur during shipping.

Void of Warranty

At Ridewave Bikes, we prioritize customer safety. Therefore, we want to clarify that any modifications, alterations, or installations of parts that are not original Ridewave Bikes components or supplied by the manufacturer will void your warranty. We accept no responsibility for any issues that arise from such changes to the following parts (including but not limited to): battery, motor, controller, throttle, transmission system, suspension systems, and braking systems. These modifications can create significant safety risks that may result in injury or even death.

RIDEWAVE BIKES RESERVES THE RIGHT TO USE SUBSTITUTE PARTS, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT THAT MEET EQUIVALENT VALUE AND RIDEWAVE’S QUALITY STANDARDS AS PART OF ANY WARRANTY CLAIM.

THE REMEDIES OUTLINED HEREIN CONSTITUTE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES, AND THEY REPRESENT RIDEWAVE BIKES' ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL RIDEWAVE BIKES' LIABILITY EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE EBIKE. FURTHERMORE, RIDEWAVE BIKES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR LOSSES, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME STATES DO NOT PERMIT THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT BE APPLICABLE TO YOU.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GRANTS YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO POSSESS ADDITIONAL RIGHTS THAT VARY BY STATE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RIDEWAVE BIKES DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, FOR THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY.

ADDITIONALLY, SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON THE DURATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THE AFOREMENTIONED LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
